What’s New? Olympic Bid Slap in the Face

Race Politics

They say that the squeaky wheel always gets the oil, and many of the citizens and voters that elected the liberal-socialist politicians realize that their squeakiness can get them more benefits from the government. Many folks who’ve lost their jobs are not working too hard to get new jobs because they are collecting unemployment benefits.

What they don’t realize is many of the states that are providing these unemployment benefits are going to go broke, as their tax revenues has also been curtailed due to economic pressures and the bottom of the business cycle.

Then when the same candidate went to Texas he said he was for NAFTA because many of his voters have family in Mexico, and there is quite a bit of trade between the United States and Mexico especially in places like San Antonio, Houston, Brownsville, and El Paso Texas. He stated that NAFTA helps provide jobs, and that trade was good for both countries.

I don’t know if the Olympic Committee was trying to embarrass President Obama and the United States by eliminating Chicago but I wouldn’t put it past them.

It probably makes some sense for the Olympic Committee to pick a new location like Rio. Many people, however, fear traveling to Rio anymore because of the crime and danger to travelers. So be it.

This will set up an extremely bad precedence, cause people to be lazy, and we will be sorry in the future that we allowed this to occur. The Senators who wish to extend unemployment benefits are making a huge mistake. And whereas, it might be politically prudent for their own hides, it is about the worst thing we can do if we want to remain productive, and efficient in our economy. Please consider all this
