About Midland, Texas
Midland, TX is the county seat of Midland county. Midland got it's name for being the half way point between Fort Worth, TX and El Paso, TX. The polulation of Midland County is over a quarter million people while the population of the city of Midland, TX is 95,000. Midland is also the hometown of two very famous GOP supporters; former President George W Bush and his wife, First Lady Laura Bush!
About the GOP

The GOP, founded in 1854 by anti-slavery activists, quickly rose in popularity and elected their first president, Abraham Lincon.
