Ok so it’s not exactly a movie, but this documentary on DVD highlights concerns which many in the GOP have already addressed. Here is am email I received from the AFA (American Family Assoc) which is promoting it for it’s strong Christian values:

Minnesota and AFA are making a difference – Here’s proof
Tea Party: The Documentary Film is a must see!
March 30, 2010

Dear David,

Our cause is right and just. It is honoring to God. I am sure you have heard the expression, “Somebody ought to do something about that!” Well, that is who we are. AFA is one of a handful of groups actually fighting back against the secularists and the humanists in an organized fashion and making a real difference.

AFA continues to stand up for traditional values – Christian values – that have served our country so well for so long but have been under siege by the secular liberals who want to radically change America. Here are just a few examples of the battles we fought in March:

Took issue with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for caving into abortion activist groups and removing a Focus on the Family ad from its website. The ad featured a father and son, with the message “Celebrate Family. Celebrate Life.”

Alerted you when Andrews Air Force Base Commander, Colonel Steven M. Shepro, cancelled an invitation for Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins to speak at a scheduled National Prayer Luncheon because of Perkins’ opposition to allowing homosexuals to serve in the military.

AFA co-hosted a live video webcast entitled “National Townhall on Health Care: Stop the Government Takeover.”

Your AFA made it easy for you to contact your U.S. representative in opposing Obamacare with specifically-targeted emails to over 60 individual congressional districts.

We encouraged you to contact your state’s governor and attorney general, asking them to file a lawsuit against the federal government in opposition to the passage of president Obama’s version of the national healthcare bill.

Don’t allow Congress to ignore you any longer! Get this DVD and learn to make your voice heard!AFA continues to fight for the moral values that served our country so well for so long. We do so without apology. We continue to ask you to forward these action alerts to your friends and family. The more people we can get to join us, the more influence and victories we can have.

Please consider making a financial donation to support our efforts. AFA is one of the few organizations being effective in the culture war.

In return for your gift of $25 or more, I want to give you a free gift. “Tea Party: The Documentary Film” follows the struggles of five grass roots individuals and their transformation from home town rally goers and rally organizers to national activists in the “9-12 March on Washington.” It traces the movement back to the establishment of a Twitter network in mid-2008 that brought together a group of concerned conservatives by social networking tools.

Make your donation now to support the work of AFA, or view the trailer of this special DVD gift now!
Sincerely,

Tim

Tim Wildmon, President
American Family Association

I just read this and was sickened by it. While it is very encouraging to see a GOP Senator in Massachusetts, I find it a tough pill to swallow when Republicans support abortion. I have always considered myself a fiscal moderate and socially conservative. According to his comments below, we are nearly opposites. I will be removing the link I have to his site immediately.

Obama’s Health Care System Means Trouble for America

Watch this video and decide for yourself if President Barack Obama is experimenting with America’s future and our highly acclaimed and worldly renowned heath care system. while his first 100 days were marked as a huge success to his faithful followers, the 200 day mark paints a vividly different presidency.

Watch the video, visit their website and learn ways you can help the GOP. While you’re there, learn about the principles of the GOP as well as the solutions the republican party offers. A conservative health care system is the recipe for a healthy America.
Barack Obama Experiment

President Obama has been in office now for 200 days, and the second hundred days of his administration have been worse than the first. The $787 billion stimulus experiment he rushed through Congress still isn’t creating jobs. The job-killing national energy tax he rushed through the House is threatening families and small businesses with higher energy bills. And now he wants to rush through Congress a $1.6 trillion government-run health care experiment that will make health care more expensive, add to the deficit and cause tens of millions of Americans to lose their current health insurance and doctors. President Obama has done all of this in just 200 days – and there are still 1,260 days left in his term. America can’t take any more of President Obama’s experiments.

We say, thanks Andy Wendt for getting the word out about these strong conservative women who have the desire and ability to be world changers. We also thank you for highlighting some of the previous GOP women who have been instrumental in shaping the US political landscape.

I am also really pleased that you have recently included an article about Michele Bachmann, one of the truly great republican politicians of our time. I have heard congresswoman Bachmann speak and this lady has what it takes to make a huge political strides. Many hope she might one day be president. I know I do.

Keep up the good work Andy and thanks again for blogging about GOP women!

Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government’s coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.

It’s outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading “home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children.” The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.

The bill says that the government agents, “well-trained and competent staff,” would “provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains … modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices,” and “skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development.”

That will be Great! We can have the government help us raise our kids, tell us what we should do instead of spanking them, advise us on how to feed them and take them to a better place if needed. Best of all,it will most likely be some college graduate with no kids getting paid $25K per year who will make those decisions.

C’mon fellow republicans! Let’s do something about all this maddness! Call you GOP leaders and let them know you are pulling for them and that you stand behind them in their conservative family values. Better yet, contact the “non-conservative” minded politicians and let them know exactly how you feel.
Technorati Tags: GOP, republicans, conservative, family values, heath care, government, obamacare

by Scott Paul Frush

More than fifty-five million Americans proudly call themselves Republicans.
However, many individuals support political parties without fully understanding
the history behind them. Author and historian Scott Paul Frush wants to shed
light on one of the parties that has made a difference in this country by
examining its rich history in the book, Ultimate Republican Trivia: 1001 Fun and
Fascinating Facts (Marshall Rand Publishing).

The book reveals trivia facts that are sure to entertain, educate, and
surprise. Republican accomplishments are highlighted, some of which include
abolishing slavery, creating the interstate highway system, granting citizenship
to Native Americans, creation of FDIC insurance (think of your bank savings
account and CD), establishing Thanksgiving Day, and creating the world’s first
national park, Yellowstone.

‘My singular aim is to showcase the best of the Republican Party from
pioneering politicians to groundbreaking accomplishments,’ says author Scott
Paul Frush. What many readers may find quite shocking is that nowhere in the
book will you find the word Democrat. ‘I wanted to take the higher ground and
highlight what the Republican Party is all about without attacking or demeaning
another political party. It’s the essence of how Americans wish politicians
would act themselves.’

Trivia facts cover many diverse topics, such as origins and organizations,
achievements and firsts, presidents and first ladies, Congress and cabinets,
events and elections, and miscellanea and oddities. Supplemental content
includes ‘Republican Top 10′ lists, a timeline of Republican Party history,
descriptions of key events in Republican Party history, a Republican resource
section, quotes from famous Republicans, and lists of Republican statesmen.

In addition to general Republican trivia, an entire chapter is dedicated to
John S. McCain, the Republican nominee for president. For example, did you know
that John McCain was not born in one of the fifty states but by law can run for
president? In addition, you’ll learn why he was called John Wayne McCain by his
Naval Academy classmates and what his voting record as a senator tells us about
his positions on critical fiscal and social issues.

With the important 2008 elections around the corner, Ultimate Republican
Trivia will be an invaluable tool for learning more about the Republican Party
and its presidential nominee, John McCain. Consider this book part election
guide and part reference book. Photos illustrating the moments and presidents of
the Grand Old Party (GOP) are included to bring the trivia and history to life.

The book is available for purchase online at www.RepublicanTrivia.com, by
calling toll-free 1-800-431-1579, or by sending $9.95 plus $2.00 postage to
Marshall Rand Publishing, P.O. Box 1849, Royal Oak, MI 48068-1849. Customers who
order by mail will receive an autographed copy by the author.

Author Scott Paul Frush, an accomplished financial advisor by trade, is a
self-proclaimed history buff, trivia extraordinaire, avid writer, and of course
a registered Republican. Scott is the author of six other books, including
Ultimate Italian Trivia and his latest investing book, Commodities Demystified,
published by McGraw-Hill. Frush holds a masters degree from the University of
Notre Dame and his official author website is www.ScottFrush.com.
